The NY DEC has proposed changes to the regulations regarding the bulk storage of petroleum products, chemicals and used oils. This update is being conducted in order to better align the regulations with current federal standards. New rules include the definition of a petroleum mixture, tank systems, registrations by property owners, above ground storage tanks and training requirements.
