EPA has extended the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) submission deadline from September 30, 2016 to October 31, 2016. This extension is a one-time occurrence for 2016 submissions.
This extension is due to concerns raised by facilities that are required to submit CDR reports, expressing difficulty in electronic submittals within the submission period. EPA was not notified of these issues, until recently, when the review of a letter from the American Chemistry Council dated August 30, 2016.
This extension does not change the CDR reporting requirements, but rather gives facilities more time to submit them to the EPA. This will only affect those facilities that manufacture (including manufacture as a byproduct) and/or import chemicals listed on the TSCA inventory.
