Baron Environmental, a Proud Supporter of the 2017 BSA Golf Outing and Papaya Spinach Smoothies

Brian Long

Baron Environmental Associates, L.L.C. was pleased to support the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) 7th Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Classic at Berkshire Valley Golf Course on Monday, May 8, 2017. The Boy Scout Sponsor golf package was represented by the team of 1) Andrew Marinelli, Account Manager, New Jersey Branch of Veolia North America; 2) Bob Mikovitch, Plant Manager at Gulbrandsen Technologies; 3) Scott Reilly, Director of Plant Engineering at Chanel, Inc; and 4) Brian Long, President and CEO of Baron Environmental. It was a cold start particularly for me, as I shanked my first two shots into the water and weeds, respectively, but the level of play from everyone stepped up after Yeungling joined our group. We had clutch putts from Scott, consistent drives from Bob, and steady focus and composure from Andrew, bringing our final 4-man scramble score to 1-under Par for the round.

The event's success was driven from many, including Committee Member Todd Terhune of Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC, who introduced Baron to this annual event, Chairman Bobby Ring of Meyer & Depew, and the other hard working chairs and committee members.

The event which supports 17,000 scouts in Northern and Central New Jersey, included a hole-in-one contest, par three challenge, putting contest, a silent auction, and raffle tickets for random prizes. Scott left the event the winner of a battery-operated lantern. Andrew departed with a Nutri Ninja blender, perfect for making his papaya spinach smoothies to start each day!
