Another agency inspection. Another clean result. And NO dedicated onsite EHS person.

The Outdated EHS Model Just Failed Another Test
Before this facility adopted our team-based EHS subscription service last June, they had an onsite EHS manager, and most compliance responsibilities sat in the EHS department. Production and supply chain personnel weren’t actively engaged in EHS the way they should have been. When an agency inspection happened under that old model, violations followed.
That was then.
Last week, the agency inspector called asking for the former EHS rep. When they were informed that person was no longer with the company, they announced a surprise visit, arriving within the hour.
What happened next proves exactly why this approach works:
• The General Manager and Production Manager immediately reached out to our team, and we were ready. Had the site needed onsite presence, we would have been there. Instead, we provided immediate virtual support, ensuring they were set.
• The Production Manager reaching out first shows something powerful: This WASN’T a compliance burden sitting solely on leadership. It’s a testament to how our model builds a system where site teams are directly engaged, working toward a hassle-free solution for leadership.
• Site personnel—including production and supply chain teams—were confident and in control. They knew exactly how to manage the inspection because compliance was already built into daily operations.
• Everything the inspector reviewed was solid: Hazardous waste was properly labeled and stored, manifests were complete with full chain of custody, weekly inspection logs were up to date, and training was documented.
• No scrambling. No stress. NO VIOLATIONS.
This didn’t happen by accident. It happened because the site took a new approach to EHS.
First, credit goes to our subscription service team—the ones who built the structure, guided the transition, and provided continuous support so that this facility wasn’t just “inspection ready”; it was inspection-proof.
Second, a huge shoutout to the production and supply chain personnel—those who embraced the shift, took ownership, and executed when needed.
And finally, recognition to the General Manager who saw that a better way was possible, stepping away from the old, outdated model and trusted a team-based EHS subscription service to build something sustainable.
A year ago, this site had violations. Now? They’ve proven that a well-built system beats a single onsite EHS manager every time.
And the BEST part? This ISN’T a one-and-done fix. A team-based EHS subscription service isn’t just about passing an inspection—it’s about continually improving, auditing, training, and ensuring EHS is built into how a facility runs.
That’s the FUTURE of compliance. And it’s already here.
