For Baron Environmental, July 20th, is a great day.
It is not because the world's lowest recorded temperature, −128.6 °F (−89.2 °C), was measured in Antarctica on this day, in 1983.
It is not because Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, was released on this day, in 2007.
It is not because heavy metal band Guns N' Roses released the landmark album Appetite for Destruction on this day, in 1987.
Instead, we celebrate July 20, 2015; exactly 6 years ago today when we implemented Scrum at Baron Environmental.
For those clients, friends, and family that knew our former office in New Providence, you may recall our massive wall of Post-It notes. Visitor after visitor would peek through our glass wall, knock on our door and ask questions. While we switched to an electronic system in our second year, we have maintained an unwavering commitment to transparency, inspection, and adaptation - the empirical pillars of Scrum.
What's next for the future? Partner with us, embrace an agile mindset, and join our journey to continually find a better way.
