Title V facilities using or planning to use boilers or heaters that operate between 1-5 MMBTU/hr should know that as of November 21, 2016, there is now a new general operating permit (GOP) for those types of boilers and heaters. The permit is named GOP-007.
When installing equipment that will now be encompassed by this permit, facilities will now have the ability to use this permit instead of an entire Title V permit modification. This permit’s requirements are therefore entirely new as well, and a full list of these permit requirements can be seen on the DEP’s website.
