Do you hope the next in-house EHS hire will make things better?

Family in Erie, PA playing Texas Hold-Em Poker over the Christmas and New Years holiday

Reinventing the Rules—At the Table and in EHS

In Erie for the holidays, we dove into our all-day, all-night Texas Hold ’Em marathons—games, laughs, liquor, and chaos. But we forgot to bring our handwritten poker rules, crafted over years of misdeals, yelling, and family debates.

Now, we’re making up penalties on the fly when someone mistakenly deals out an extra card or flips over the burn card.

EHS within manufacturing isn’t so different. Too often, we see companies scrambling to address challenges on the fly instead of setting up a system that works for the long term. Rehiring the next EHS Manager, only to watch the position churn yet again, is like playing without a strategy. Reinventing the rules is essential for innovation. Call it “change or die.”

You can keep playing the same old game, hoping the next in-house EHS hire will make things better—or you can explore a fresh approach, like an outsourced, team-based EHS subscription model, designed to take your operations to the next level.

If you want to chat about whether this innovative model might be the right fit, reach out anytime.

I’m all in!

Cheers,

Brian
